Job Role: Senior Engineer - Structures

Location: Birmingham - Midlands

Duration: 6 months rolling contract

Day Rate: £340-350 per day (Umbrella - inside IR35)

Summary of the Senior Engineer - Structures:

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer - Structures with a strong heavy civils and bridges background to work for a Tier 1 company on a range of Civils project.

Responsibilities for the Senior Engineer - Structures:

• Take a leading role in the design of major civil engineering structures.
• Prepare designs under minimal supervision.
• Assist with the commercial and financial control of your project.
• Analysis and detailed design of road/rail bridges and other structures.
• Inspection, assessment and strengthening of road/rail bridges and other Structures.
• Supervision of graduate engineers and technicians.
• Planning and project management.
• Prepare, implement and assess contract documents.
• Report writing and production of technical reports and documents.

Requirements for the Senior Engineer - Structures:

• Degree educated OR equivalent experience
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in bridges and structural design
• Previous project experience of bridge renewals and designs
• Experience with bridge and related structural inspection assessment and design schemes
• Proven design and project management experience delivering to quality, time and budget
• Experience in road and/or rail projects
• High-level technical skills in current inspection, assessment and design
