THE COMPANY

Our client is one of the leading engineering and construction companies in the UK and provide specialist building, civil engineering and rail expertise to a range of markets. They deliver successful projects in numerous industries, including commercial, industrial, education, rail infrastructure and depots, airports, waste and energy.

Due to securing a large project in York, and with heavy workload thereafter in the region, they are looking for a Senior Engineer to join the team!

IDEAL CANDIDATE

You’re the Senior Engineer I’m looking for if you’re motivated by progression, dedicated to putting the hours in to complete the task and have heavy civils experience. Although, that all sounds pretty ordinary! What will set you above the rest is your proven track record of delivering schemes and have progressed within the industry, supported by your hunger to succeed.

With this role comes hard work, dedication and a lot of hours – this is not for someone looking to take a back seat or an easy ride. However, for someone who is devoted to the job and willing to put in the work, this role is incredibly rewarding and will set you up for remarkable success with the company!

ABOUT THE JOB

The company are rail construction specialists working on projects such as new depot builds, bridge structure packages, station projects and general civils. This particular scheme has various different packages, including M&E, track, earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete and steel – a lot to get your teeth in to!

This scheme is due to last 12-18 months, with construction starting imminently. But don’t be alarmed, there’s plenty of other projects in the pipe to move on to following the completion of your first project, so it’s clear to see the opportunities for the road ahead!

With being an experienced Engineer, you will already know what will be expected of you on a day-to-day basis. You will have a hands-on approach whilst delivering the scheme, assisting in managing the subcontractors, carrying out QA assessments and much more. Are you up for the challenge?

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this role, you will need a HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering and have experience as a Section or Senior Engineer – ideally within rail, but if you have experience within a different sector of civil engineering (e.g. highways) I still want to hear from you!

PACKAGE

For the right candidate, my client is offering a basic salary upwards of £38k, capped at £42k for a top-notch Senior Engineer! Also, there’s a generous package on offer including car/car allowance, pension and holidays.
