We are currently working with on of the most renowned consultancies whom are looking to recruit for a Senior Highways Design Engineer within their Birmingham office.  You will work on major UK Highways projects in which you will lead design teams on a variety of projects and be part of a large highways teams working on industry renowned projects. 

Within the roles youll be expected to have a strong technical understanding of highways design with the ability to deliver and manage whilst recognizing quality, cost and time demands which will include design management and coordination, often liaising with other multi-disciplinary contributors to the project. Within the role you will proactively work on all aspects of highways works, which includes alignment, and drainage, which includes stages from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and build.

This position could suite a Highways Design Engineer looking to make that next step up, or a someone whom is currently working as Senior Highways Engineer looking to join one of the industries renowned consultancies. 


Job Requirements

• Working towards, or ideally, a Chartered or Incorporated member of the ICE, CIHT or similar.
• Experience of leading design teams undertaking design packages as part of a major highway scheme, or small to medium size projects.
• An excellent working knowledge and experience of applying relevant highway design codes (e.g. DMRB)
• Ability in, and demonstrable experience of, the application of 3D highway design software packages (e.g. InRoads, MX, Civils 3D, etc) on major highways.
