As a highly valued member of the OLE delivery team and Engineer, you will work closely with the team in a lively and enthusiastic environment carrying out design on a wide variety of design commissions ranging from pre-feasibility through to detail design.
A sound knowledge of UK basic design ranges, basic through to construction design along with excellent report writing and drawing presentation skills would be preferred. The ideal candidate would either be, or working towards becoming a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with the IMechE or IET.
Our client's current portfolio of work includes diverse commissions such as major London Station and approaches remodelling, HS2, Junction remodelling and S&C Renewals for the whole of the Southern half of the UK. Our growth plans are ambitious, including the development of Global Design Centres to support these major commissions as well as prospective work in Singapore, California and Canada.

Job Responsibilities:
*Prepare fee proposal and agree with Director for submission to client, including resources and programme
*Manage the workload and technical and commercial management of a small team
*Undertake Health & Safety duties including ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for the project team members and fulfilling all responsibilities for health and safety in design
*Assess staff requirements at each stage of the project Identify data and information required for project and appoint appropriate sub-consultants
*Manage the preparation of client reports, bringing together the contributions from other specialist areas of the business
*Deliver projects within timescale, budget constraints and quality expectations
*Manage the tender process for the appointment of contractors
*Respond to design queries during construction phase and attend site meetings
*Communicate project's critical issues in a timely manner to Directors and clients
Minimum Requirements
*We are looking for an approved Network Rail OLE designer. You will hold a minimum of an HND Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (minimum) or equivalent with a BEng or BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.
*You will need experience in all forms of OLE design from pre-feasibility to detail design and construction support.
*Experience in high speed rail design would be advantageous
Preferred Qualifications
You will ideally be a Chartered / Incorporated Engineer with either the IMechE or IET
