A Senior P-Way Engineer is required to provide technical support to the Lead Engineer and Senior Supervisors monitoring technical compliance on all works, site and office based. Also carrying out surveying and setting out duties, you will control excavation and construction track duties. Required to participate in programming, planning and preparation of Track Renewal works, you will undertake surveying, as well as Technical Supervision. Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of all documentation, you will also attend and record site meetings, at the same time as having responsibility for costing of site activities.

With a number of years work experience in Railway Engineering, as well as holding a HNC in a related engineering discipline, you will be able to use traditional and modern equipment including 3-D and Total Station technology, setting out and taking critical temp. Possessing an excellent knowledge of group and line standards, as well as knowledge of all track renewals disciplines, you will be fully conversant in all appropriate Rules and Regulations. A strength in IT, coupled with good communication and man management skills are a must. A leader with the ability to direct work, you will be able to provide guidance and supervision to less experienced technical staff.

Working for the largest plain line track renewals company in the country, you will be part of the Railway framework delivering within the Wessex, Western and the Wales areas. Required to work 3 in 4 weekends, and 1 in 4 midweek nights, overtime will be paid at Time & a Quarter. You will also be rewarded with 28 days holiday plus all bank holidays.
