Role: Senior Structural Engineer
Location: Stockport
Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 (negotiable)
Type: Permanent, Full-time

I am looking to place a Structural Design Engineer within a design consultancys Stockport office. The firm have numerous ongoing contractual frameworks with Network Rail, local authorities and councils across the UK, handling a range of civil and structural design consultancy services. The role would suit someone who has been operating at a Senior level for some time and comfortable leading juniors whilst maintaining their own technical design skills and managing their own projects. 

The firm handles a range of multidisciplinary civil and structural projects across the UK, increasing in size since the 1980s. This is a firm that is continuing to increase in size, and this opportunity will have long-term career prospects with regards to upwards mobility and seniority. Due to the nature of ongoing framework agreements with local councils, the firm handles a wide range of municipal building design and assessment, NHS/private hospitals, universities and schools.

Ideally, candidates will be (nearly) chartered with either the IStructE or ICE. There will be support from accredited schemes and mentorship from more senior colleagues for those that have not yet reached this level.

Also, someone looking to develop their capabilities of working with local authorities as clients would also be very suited to this role. 

Job Requirements:

• Relevant education in Structural Engineering
• Relevant experience in residential, commercial, retail, education, high-rise structural design
• Chartership with IStructE or ICE (desirable)
• Relevant experience leading other junior engineers/technicians
• Ability to liaise with clients and represent stakeholders interests
