Role: Senior Structural Engineer
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

I am currently looking to fill a role for an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join a nation-wide structural engineering firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a structural engineer who has around ten years experience post-degree and is used to dealing directly with clients and managing various building structures projects as well as able to lead teams of more junior engineers.

The right individual will have a range experience of design using steel, concrete, timber and masonry alongside nearing completion of, or having obtained, chartership with either the Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE). The role will feature the opportunity to design a mix of residential, commercial, industrial, education and healthcare structures.

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to eventually lead their own team of engineers, alongside business development and management opportunities. The right Structural Design Engineer will be looking to develop their long-term career and gain exposure on a range of projects involving historical buildings, residential and industrial complexes, restoration projects, specialist surveys and more. The role features room for rapid growth in a well-established structural design consultancy.

Job Requirements:

• Experience of design using steel, concrete, timber and masonry
• Experience of technical and financial management of structural design projects
• Preparation of technical reports, drawings and specifications
• (Working towards) Chartered Membership of ICE or IStructE
• Experience leading teams of other engineers
• Mentoring junior engineers/graduates
• Full, clean driving licence
