Role: Senior Structural Engineer

I am looking to place a Senior Structural Design Engineer within an engineering design consultancys Central Manchester office. The firm operates across the UK on multidisciplinary projects incorporating Structures, Civils, Transportation and Masterplanning developments for a variety of private and public sector clients. Previous projects include new-build projects for the University of Leeds Research Centres, Grade II Listed redevelopments for the Royal Automobile Club, refurbishments on Europes largest listed building and multiple medium / high-rise developments up to 20 storeys across the UK.

This role would suit someone who is already operating at a Senior level, with experience of managing more junior engineers and leading on small to medium projects, or this would be a good opportunity for someone who is ready to take the step up into a Senior role. Ideally, candidates will be nearly or recently chartered with either the IStructE or ICE. There will be support from accredited schemes and mentorship from more senior colleagues (including Fellows of the ICE / IStructE) for those that have not yet reached this level.

Job Requirements:

• Relevant Education in Structural Engineering
• Relevant experience in residential, commercial, retail, education, medium + high-rise structural design
• Relevant design experience using RC, Steel, Masonry, Timber
• Chartership with IStructE or ICE (desirable)
• Relevant experience leading other junior engineers/technicians
• Ability to liaise with public/private-sector clients
• Software proficiency: Tekla TEDDS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar
