Role: Senior Principal Highways Engineer

I am looking to place multiple Senior to Principal Grade Highways Engineers in a global consultancys office in central Leeds. The firm has strategic growth plans and they are looking add to their current team of engineers. The role will feature mainly major highways schemes, drainage design and flood risk planning, including both technical design work and feasibility studies.

Candidates are expected to have already reached, or be very close to reaching, Chartered or Incorporated status with either the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) or the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation (CIHT). The role features strategic design and checking/sign-off of more junior engineers work, so the desire to lead and manage others is a desirable trait.

The firm currently operates in a BIM environment, so previous experience of Civils 3D, MX, WinDes MicroDrainage or the Bentley suite are preferred, though other software experience will be considered. To support your office design experience, the capability to operate on site is also highly desirable. Designing using the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) is also a requirement for this role.

Your role will also feature liaising with public bodies such as Highways England and the Environment Agency, as well as private clients and contractors. Previous experience in this area is also highly desirable.
