Job title: Product Support Engineer (Assurance & Standards)
Job location: South Yorkshire
Salary: Circa £30kpa; 25 days' holiday + Bank Holidays; Perks packages
Role overview
Working for one of the world's largest manufacturers and suppliers of rail industry parts you will assist resolving technical product issues within the engineering team including configuration and control ensuring that the product base meets all relevant specifications and industry standards.
Role and Responsibilities
Engineering configuration (consistency) management
Product safety, integrity and reliability
Ensure products and services are procured in line with recognised safety
standards and specification requirements.
Apply engineering change control procedures and processes associated with Engineering
Assurance activities and liaise with other business functions as required.
Investigate and resolve technical issues and facilitate / lead technical reviews within the Engineering department.
Review and adopt information regarding changes in industry Legislation and Standards to ensure
continued product compliance.
Essential Criteria
Educated to min HNC in any Engineering discipline
Document control experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong Problem solving skills.
Ability to manage change effectively.
Desirable Criteria
Rail Industry Experience.
Foreign language skills.
Previous technical support role experience.
