THE COMPANY

Their UK operation employs around 600 people covering existing and “start-up” operations spanning eight locations including a brand new, purpose built, state of the art depot in South Gloucestershire.

The company have secured several high-profile orders with full lifecycle maintenance contracts to manufacture and maintain over 200 brand new trains and as a result, will look to increase their headcount to 2000 by 2020 to meet the demands of these exciting contract wins.

And they are looking for you! A hardworking and talented engineer capable of delivering engineering support to the depot maintenance teams.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

This is the ideal Support Engineer role for you if you are looking to work on a high-profile project involving start of the art high speed trains. You will be a natural problem solver able to rectify even the most complex of technical issues keeping a cool head whilst offering support and inspiration to the depot maintenance teams.

ABOUT THE JOB

Day to day you will report into the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for the investigation of maintenance and safety related defects as well as the subsequent engineering solutions to ensure all contractual reliability targets are achieved. You will assist production teams with on call advice and advanced fault finding solutions, assist in the coordination of continuous improvement activities, development of engineering procedures, documents and practices as well as working closely with the reliability teams to establish quick solutions to the root cause of defects. This is a comprehensive and wide ranging position that will certainly offer challenge.

THE REQUIREMENTS

You are the Support Engineer I am looking for if you have a solid track record in rolling stock maintenance ideally in similar role with an HNC to back up your experience.

THE SALARY

• £45k + Pension + Healthcare + 25 Days Holiday + BH
