Samuel Knight Rail are pleased to be recruiting Systems Engineers for our global, blue-chip, engineering and consultancy client.

Our client are influential in shaping the way the Rail sector works, and as a Systems Engineer you will be playing a major role in the changes which happen across the industry. As a part of the team, you will be responsible for bids, managing feasibility studies & integration projects.

With the opportunity at hand, our client have given us a specific breakdown of responsibilities and daily duties. Of course, flexibility and the ability to pick new thing sup quickly is a valued skill.

We are seeking integrations engineers , rather than specialists in one particular system we are seeking candidates who can integrate multiple systems together.

Below is an insight to the role:

• Systems Integration
• Producing first class answers to engineering conundrums
• Command respect and be a leading presence on our client meetings & feasibility focus groups
• Serve system engineering results to stakeholders, not settling for less than best in class.
• Undertake at times methodical analysis of operations and engineering activities
• Without instruction ,develop & agree support processes to support colleagues.
• Create dossiers on progress with clients
• Work in tandem with Project Managers to deliver identified project goals

Our client are encouraging of candidates with varied levels of experience, from first role gradutates through to experienced professionals & veterans of the industry.

Our client envisage the successful candidate(s) will already be working as a Rail specialist, and most likely have a background explicitly in rolling stock. However, it is plausible that a manufacturing or fleet operations expert could add value to the company & in turn be invested in by our client.

The hired candidate(s) will utilise their accumen in integration between locomotives and infrastructure, including some design challenges.
