Due to an increasing volume of work, there is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join a very successful and expanding team as a Test Engineer, fire testing building products. The work will involve liaising with clients, setting up and testing of building systems to assess fire performance against National and International Standards.
The Test Engineer will be required to:
*Manage allocated fire resistance test projects;
* Ensure test samples are correctly installed and instrumented;
*Undertake the fire resistance testing of a range of different building products;
*Understand and Working to National and International test Standards;
*Record results and prepare complex test reports;
*Maintain calibration, quality and test records.
Essential requirements:
*Excellent customer relationship skills.
*Ability to work as part of a team as well as under own initiative.
*Ability to understand a variety of National and International test Standards and technical documentation such as drawings and specifications.
*Practical and technical skills with a range of measuring equipment.
*Proficient in MS software packages such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. And the ability to use databases and data acquisition systems effectively.
*Self motivated and focussed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential, as is the ability to build and maintain good customer relations, full training will be given.
