THE COMPANY

This excellent opportunity with a Global Engineering and Technology business are thriving and looking for a Warranty Engineer to continue their dedicated service to the Rail Industry. The company have secured a number of high profile orders to deliver and service brand new trains across the UK.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You’ll have a great understanding of Rolling Stock maintenance techniques, mixed with component supplier management. You’ll have a confident attitude when working with suppliers and commercially sensitive issues and detailed knowledge of warranty processes and materials management procedures.

ABOUT THE JOB

As the Warranty Engineer you’ll responsible for being the point of contact for the Maintenance, Aftersales Materials and Procurement community around all warranty claims associated with New Fleets. You’ll be liaising with suppliers ensuring they receive all technical information to identify root causes of component failures and identify possible technical solutions. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders in analysing defective materials through the warranty and repairs supply chain within internal control requirements. This role isn’t for the faint hearted as you’ll also be required to be proactive in addressing quality concerns and repair work with the suppliers to ensure that preventive measures are pursued. You will also be able to use the principals of reliability, availability, maintainability, safety (RAMS) and life cycle costs to create key performance indicators to identify improvements to maintenance principals and component configuration.

THE REQUIREMENTS

A degree or equivalent experience gained within rolling stock.

Experience of technical reliability monitoring and associated techniques

THE SALARY

c£45,000 + bonus up to 25% + Excellent Pension + Healthcare + 25 Days Holiday + BH - Clear career progression with achievable objectives.
