ABOUT YOU

You will have a Rolling Stock background, and understand the fundamentals of Train Maintenance and RAMS.

With your analytical mind and attention to detail you will have the ability to monitor reliability trends in the fleet performance / component warranty and develop improvement plans and proposals based upon root cause analysis and forecast improvements. You will have an excellent understanding of Warranty on rolling stock components, and be able to monitor and report on their performance against Life Cycle expectancy. You will also be able to identify further opportunities to improve reliability and reduce life cycle costs of the fleet by application of RCM techniques

ABOUT THE POSITION

You’ll be reporting to the Performance Manager for the UK, for all warranty or reliability issues arising on the brand new trains and liaise with suppliers ensuring they receive technical information to identify root causes of component failures and identify possible technical solutions.

You'll track repairs and warranty administration process for all components through to a successful conclusion and collate technical information required by the business and suppliers to ensure that warranty claim information packs are delivered component failures. Monitor the technical reliability for the new trains at component level and identifying component failures.

Use the principals of reliability, availability, maintainability, safety and life cycle costs to create key performance indicators to identify improvements to maintenance principals and component configuration.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• HNC or equivalent experience gained within rolling stock.
• Experience of technical reliability monitoring and associated techniques with Rolling Stock.
• In-depth knowledge of rolling stock maintenance techniques, implementation and procedures involving IT, planning systems and railway operating systems.
