Water Engineer / Advisory Consultant opportunity in Bristol.

I am working in partnership with a leading global design consultancy in recruiting for an infrastructure advisory consultant to join a dynamic and growing team. Your focus will be to undertake advisory services, with a focus on the water and wider infrastructure sectors.

The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to interpret technical data into clear communications.

Responsibilities:

• Strategy and policy development
• Infrastructure investment
• Business case development
• Delivery of feasibility studies
• Operational improvement planning
• Asset management strategies and plans
• Asset management, ISO55000 accreditation
• Asset management optimization advice
• Managing project delivery
• Interpreting technical information into clear communication for broad stakeholder groups;
• Facilitate engagement with clients including interviewing, presentations, stakeholder consultation and building strong stakeholder and client relationships;
• Working with multi-disciplinary teams of varying sizes;
• Supporting the development of junior members of the team;
• Managing the delivery and output of projects, including project planning, programming and financial tracking and forecasting of projects,
• Analysis and drawing insight from data to inform the development of strategies and plans.

Essentials:

• Strong analytical skills, including an ability to analyse and draw insight from data and experience in leading stakeholder engagement and communications.
• Experience in the rail or water engineering sector.
• Capable of holding responsibility for delivery and output of a project.
• Exposure to project management or project controls preferred.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in engineering, science, water management, water security or related discipline.
• Working towards Chartership in a relevant professional institution, for example, CIWEM, ICE or IEMA.
