Environment Advisor
Support all aspects of environmental management relating to the programme and monitoring so that the work undertaken is consistent with the agreed approach to environmental management as set out in the Environmental Management System (EMS) and GRIP process.
Key Objectives
- Establish and maintain a fully integrated work method to provide and carry through the full and timely delivery of Projects. Monitor all forms of required consents and monitor evidence of all works being completed in a manner that satisfies all conditions set out by the consents granting bodies.
- Co- ordinate activities involved in the process of obtaining all consents required by environmental legislation and any conditions pertaining to delivery of projects.
- Provide input in respect of planning projects with regards to environmental specialisms, e.g. archaeology, ecology, heritage
matters arising from works on listed buildings. - Support process for identifying and approving environmental design requirements.
- Monitor environmental performance of projects.
Qualifications and experience required
- Educated to a degree standard
- Membership of a relevant professional institution IEMA.undertaken.
- Good communication and report writing skills.
- Experience in implementing environmental requirements for major infrastructure projects, preferably in the railway industry would be preferred.
- Contract and commercial awareness.
