Environment & Sustainability Manager, also interested in Environmental Advisors
Location:
North Yorkshire, commutable from Bradford, York, Leeds, Doncaster and Hull
Salary / Benefits:
£45,000 - £55,000, per annum, negotiable dependant on experience plus Car / Car Allowance & Package

An opportunity has arisen for an Environment & Sustainability Manager to join the TRUe Alliance, reporting to the HSQES Lead for the Alliance on the East of Leeds Transpennine route.
To be suitable for the position you must have;
- Previous and significant experience of working in a similar role within the rail industry is essential
- Experience in working on multi-disciplined major projects
- Environmental Degree or Equivalent
- IEMA Diploma / IEMA Associate Certificate
- Experience with the application and implementation of BREEAM (or CEEQUAL)
- Experience as a Lead Auditor
- CIWM Waste Awareness Certificate
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication, literacy and interpersonal skills
- Flexible / proactive can do attitude who shows initiative to support others
- Full UK Driving Licence
Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have;
- Any Quality certifications / qualifications
Role Information;
- Responsible for the effective reporting of data specific to the environment and sustainability
- Development of TRUe Alliance environmental and sustainability policies, strategies and standards
- Responsible for the reporting on progress of performance indicators and objectives and targets
- Ensuring the requirements of the environmental management arrangements are effectively discharged
- Responsible for supporting the TRUe Alliance and Northern Programmes to achieve BREEAM
- Promoting and raising awareness, at all levels, of the impact of emerging environmental issues
- The identification and development of environmental training packages
- Carry out specialist environmental projects in line with changing needs, e.g. carbon reduction, sustainability, waste management, minimisation of nuisance etc
