West Midlands Trains has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Business Partner to join the HR Team. This is a fantastic time to join West Midlands Trains. We operate services in and around the West Midlands as West Midlands Railway (WMR) and services from the North West to London as London Northwestern Railway (LNR).

The HR Business Partner Role:

The HR Business Partner will work at both a strategic and operational level. Working with the Senior Managers of your business area you will provide support and guidance on strategic and operational matters and work proactively with the business to implement the strategic HR plan. You will actively support the operation of the business by providing a proactive, effective and professional HR service, and act as a key point of contact for both line management and employees on employee relations issues providing informed specialist advise.

HR Business Partner Requirements:

• HR Generalist background with a strong focus on Employee Relations (ER)
• Previous experience of managing complex ER cases end to end
• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of employment law
• Strong track record of supporting managers and providing comprehensive advice and guidance on all HR related matters
• CIPD qualified
• Ability to build strong working relationships, with the ability to challenge and influence at difference levels across the organisation
• Demonstrable experience of delivering pragmatic, commercial advice to senior stakeholders
• Experienced in delivering coaching, training and development interventions to raise line manager capability
