Job Description

provide feedback from Requirements Working Group to the relevant teams within Transpire

Establish and maintain Transpires Requirements Management and V&V processes to support ensuring contracted outputs are met and change is robustly managed

Ensure alignment between Transpire RM and V&V processes with those of TRU Programme and Northern Programmes, and escalate issues which require agreement or accepted deviations.

Ensure Transpires Requirements Management and V&V processes are adhered to

Ensure consistency and quality of requirements and V&V evidence across Transpire

Maintain the Transpire requirements baseline

Lead the impact assessment of iCRD level requirements changes across Transpire

Support the impact assessment of iRRD and iDRRD level requirements changes

Ensure that changes in ‘Requirements’ across the Alliance, are supported by Section Proposals or suitable Change Requests

Support the management of RM and V&V performance within projects through the collation, provision and review of key metrics with the CEM and DPE.

Support scheduling of key RM and V&V activities with the CEM and DPE to secure milestones for iELC Phase Gates, GRIP Stage gates and Entry into Service

Lead key improvement efforts and initiatives for requirements management and V&V activities

Forecast Requirements resource demand to ensure efficient resource utilisation, support accurate cost forecasting, recruitment and schedule adherence

Configuration of DOORS to facilitate implementation of Transpires RM and V&V processes Team/ Self – Requirements engineering posts identified and resourced

Team/ Self – Design acceptance/ approval of Requirements documentation and V&V reports/ evidence with DPE, Project Management, TDA and Sponsor – 90%+ acceptance at first presentation. (All years)

Team/ Self – Alliance wide (requirements management/ V&V) audits passed with no major NCRs and all corrective actions closed within KPI timeframes. (All years)

Resolution of key Requirements Management / V&V issues with TDA/ NR within 20 working days – 90% of occasions.

Team/ Self – Establish a strong brand for engineering and design teams to engender greater collaboration and teamwork – scoring across team. (All years).
