We are currently recruiting on behalf of Network Rail for an Assistant / Junior Project Manager (inside IR35) to work on a contract basis until August 2022 with the likelihood of it extending for at least a further 6 months. The position will be based at their London Puddle Dock office.
As an Assistant / Junior Project manager , your main responsibilities would be:
- Working within Network Rail Southern Region, this role is an exciting role to deliver innovation, business change and new ways of working through the deployment of new assets, technology and solutions.
- In this role, you will work with stakeholders to translate their business needs into effective, fit for purpose solutions, either delivering developed solutions or lead and develop new innovation solutions to rail such as drones and safety technology.
- You will play a key part in promoting solution and technology adoption, working alongside the wider team to identify key opportunities and trends
- You will support the management and delivery of project plans, ensuring all necessary preparation, tasks and dependencies are included.
- Support the Business Change and wider team with the delivery of projects to time, cost and quality. Liaising with stakeholders (internal and external).
- Deliver regular progress reports on activities, including relevant risks and issues to the Project Manager, including the provision of evidence to support the programme deliverables.
- Collate, format and distribute data to support project requirements, cascading to internal and external parties where appropriate.
You’ll have:
- Understanding of applying project methodologies is essential.
- Evidence of deliverable working on a project.
- Ability to work in large, diverse organisation.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of stakeholders in the organisation.
- Experience of working in change projects would be desirable, or delivering benefit through technology or innovation
- Engineering or maintenance familiarisation would be desirable but not essential
- This position could suit a recently qualified graduate or junior engineer who would like to get into or work more within the business implementation and change side of Engineering.
