Assistant / Trainee Project Manager

This is a great opportunity for someone who ideally has some experience within the construction industry or a graduate who is looking for their first position in this sector to join an established and growing architectural steel company, who deliver projects in and around London.

The role;

- You will initially be assisting the companies Lead Project Manager with his current work load, where he will train and teach you in the fundamentals of Project Management, with the aim of progressing you onto a more management position in the future.
- You will be assisting the Project Manager on their key architectural steel projects, which involves the installation of balconies, balustrades, handrails, stairwells etc. on to their clients' key projects in and around London.
- A Project Manager is the person who has to make sure that all projects are being delivered to client specification, that they are being delivered on schedule, in budget and that all resources etc. that are required on the projects for these goals to be met are available. This involves a lot of planning, monitoring, reporting, company and client meetings, site visits, forecasts etc.

The requirement;

- The Lead Project Manager is open to background and experience and is more interested in the profile of a person he will train.
- The ideal candidate will be driven, self-motivated, makes use of their own self-initiative, have an interest in construction (ideally some experience in the industry would be beneficial), have good all-round communication skills and would see themselves progressing into a Project Manager position in the future.
- Any other related qualifications, tickets, experience etc. would also be beneficial, but not essential.
