BIM Engineer -
Main Contractor

£375 - £450 a day.
Currently looking to engage a experienced BIM Engineer to work for a top tier 1 Main Contractor on a large project in Central London. The role would see you working in an existing team, on a Rail Station improvemnet scheme in Central London with some of London's best civil Engineers.
You will be specically using Bentley AECOsim for the production of all 3D models which must be hosted on the client's common data environment (CDE) Bentley Projectwise.
The candidate must have past experience and knowledge of working within Projectwise and have the ability to navigate, and interrogate the models within their native software (AECOsim) to ensure compliance with the project standard methods and procedures (SMP), insuring adherence to the BIM Execution Plan.
The idealcandidate will be responsible for managing coordination, running clash detection workshops and managing the resolution of clashes. The clash detection function will be undertaken through Bentley Navigator, the candidate should have experience working in Navigator, identifying coordination issues and producing clash reports.
Key responsibilities will include;
* Liaising with the Employers Representative, capturing any specific standards, methods and/or procedures required by the client.
* Developing and gaining consensus of the project standards, methods and procedures (SMP)
* Assessing the task teams capability to produce information in accordance with the SMP
* Ensuring the availability of the Common Data Environment to all Task Teams
* Assuring the Project Information Model is produced in accordance with the Project SMP
* Managing risks associated to the production of the project information model
* Clash detection duties - Using Bentley Navigator /AECOsim.
* General 2D/3D drafting duties using Bentley and Autodesk software.
Requirements:
* Must have experience using Projectwise and AECOsim
* Ideally from a Rail background or equivalent
* Must be able to start within the next 2 weeks
