The Opportunity
Our client - a global rail consultancy is currently seeking an experienced Bids Coordinator to become an integral member of the team to maintain the company's market-leading position in the Rail industry. Your enthusiasm and adaptable nature will ensure you consistently deliver and support the organisation's bids processes.
Location (s): Derby
Role and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the company's bid production process
- You will be involved from opportunity stage through to proposal generation and ensure that all documentation is accurate and effectively highlights the company's capabilities and experience.
- You will competently respond to supplier questionnaires and PQQs and support bid planning, production and the review process
- You will assist in managing and maintaining the company's bid library and RISQS accreditation.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous exposure to working in a bid co-ordination role. Your strong communication and organisational skills will ensure you can engage with all levels of staff whilst confidently suggesting ideas to improve the bid process. It is essential that you can work collaboratively and flexibly with the team to ensure client deadlines are completed on time and to a high standard.
Essentials
- Previous experience on bids, PQQs and within a bid coordinator / writer capacity
- Organised in their approach to planning and co-ordination of PQQs/bids
- Experience in bid administration for bid/PQQ submissions going to rail public sector client
- Current responsibility for the production of PQQs and tender submissions to the highest quality with a good understanding of creating attractive and informative documentation
- Maintain high quality bid material and case studies to continuously improve the quality and success of future submissions
- Ensure highly accurate documentation with the ability to proof read submitted answers and suggest appropriate improvements
Desirable
- An understanding of public sector procurement
- Experience of working for an engineering/professional services company
- Preferably educated to degree standard or someone with Business Administration qualifications
