Our client is a world-leading professional services company, with 97 offices around the globe. They offer independent advice and safeguard the commercial interests of clients embarking on investment programmes across real estate, infrastructure and natural resources.
They are currently recruiting for the position of Change Manager, based in Birmingham, UK.
Job Description
* The role of the Change manager within the delivery teams is to provide assurance to the programme that the baseline is current and accurate at any given point in time within the project.
* It will involve interfacing and working with the supply chain, commercial teams and controls team to understand and adopt any changes within the overall baseline.
* The role also requires that the change manager tracks and manages trends within the given sector which they support.
* Work within the sector controls team, assuring that all changes and trends at contract level are maintained and current within the given baseline for the sector.
* Assuring that any changes driven through the commercial process are captured and logged within the baseline change process.
* Making sure trends are captured and logged within the relevant and agreed systems, allowing controls to understand the potential cost and time impact.
* Assuring that the change documentation is collected, to the right quality and is stored in the correct areas within the management system.
* Assuring that the workflow of approvals is managed for the relevant scope areas, in line with delegated authority.
* Assuring the baseline is updated and accurate to reflect the change as approved.
* Reporting and escalating any non-compliant actions to the head of project controls.
Skills and Experience
* Must be aware of NEC principles and associated commercial process.
* Must be conversant with Project Controls process to include cost schedule, cost and estimating.
* Must be able to communicate in a concise manner across all levels of delivery.
* Moderate delivery/controls experience.
* Experience of working on large programmes typically within Rail, Utilities, Highways, Civils and Power.
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
