PACE - Civils Operations Manager for our Rail Infrastructure business across the UK
Your role, and what you will be doing:
- The Civils Operations Manager will have the responsibility of the delivery of an existing £20M Civils portfolio of projects on behalf of PACE. You will lead the delivery of these projects with the responsibility of completing them safely, on schedule, to budget, to the required standard, achieving the required quality and attaining the customer's satisfaction.
What will be your main Responsibilities?
- Take overall responsibility for the safe & successful delivery of the Civils portfolio of Design & Build Projects in line with PACE values and processes.
- Provide construction & delivery leadership to the project management & delivery teams for all projects in your portfolio.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring comprehensive handover from the works tenders to the delivery teams is achieved and close monitoring of the delivery.
- Manage supply chain partnerships to assist with growth including the key areas of Material, plant, and labour supply chains.
- Manage the development of the Proficiency, Training, structure, and Mentorship plan for the civils teams.
- Work with other departments where appropriate to manage resource shortfall or surplus requirements.
- Develop excellent relationships with clients, sub-contractors and partners and identify any external opportunities.
- Support the bidding team in the development of proposals & tenders, either directly or through the allocation of appropriate support from within your team.
- Lead the Professional Development of your team including training and identifying any outstanding potential or talent.
- Work closely with the Commercial Lead to monitor & manage commercial/financial performance of your portfolio.
- Hold regular meetings with your PMs & site teams, to review issues, sharing lessons learnt, best practice, resource sharing.
- Willing to travel and work away as required for specific projects.
- Working closely with the business directors to grow the civils business and client relationships.
