Commercial Manager
6+ Month Contract – to start immediately
£300 - £385/day
Birmingham with travel to London on occasions
Our client is a well established Nationwide Rail company whose professionalism and well respected name have been instrumental in their success. They provide an exceptional service to their customers and are focused on continually improving this.
The role:
- To provide post-contract management of medium value/medium risk activity and support pre-contract activity.
- To undertake pre-contract activities, evaluate and agree the value of payments and variations for a variety of works.
- Managing valuation of contractor’s applications and processing payments, actively influencing commercial behaviours and supporting the Delivery Unit commercial staff.
- Establishing whether instructions are variations to contracts and manage in accordance with company processes.
The role requires:
- Work with number of projects; namely based on the Brent Cross project. This project is in North London and there will be a requirement to attend / work from site on a weekly basis (number of days per week to be confirmed).
- Administering final contracts
- Working and supporting other new accounts at development stage – drafting papers, contracts – overseeing the governance and admin.
- Day to day commercial management of the Brent Cross contract – including for responses to EWN’s, Change Request agreements, applications for payment (from contractor) and invoices (to third party client).
You will need:
Looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in the Rail industry
- Adaptable
- Confident / technical knowledge in Procurement
- Experience dealing with commercial contracts
- People person as possibly some line management responsibilities
