The company have secured a number of high profile orders with full lifecycle maintenance contracts to manufacture and maintain over 200 brand new trains and as a result, will look to increase their headcount to 2000 by 2020 to meet the demands of these contracts.

ABOUT THE JOB

You will develop and own the configuration management process-currently there is a skeleton outline. Your job will be to bring it to life, defining the asset tree, identifying the components, assemblies and sub-assemblies that need to be tracked to enable efficient and effective engineering support for total fleet traceability and history. Once that’s done, you’ll maintain it; recording and tracking all the documentation onto SAP for any modifications, overhauls, parts replacements in addition to any other information required to support reliability centred maintenance. Make no bones about it, it will be a demanding role so you’ll need a sense of humour to cope with the inevitable pressures this role will throw at you.

THE REQUIREMENTS

You’re the Configuration Management Engineer I am looking for if you can demonstrate a track record in engineering change control supported a solid background in maintenance (ideally rolling stock). You will also need an HNC minimum in an engineering discipline. This role will be based in Doncaster although for the right candidate you can be based in London.

THE SALARY

• £50k + Pension + Healthcare + 25 Days Holiday + BH
