Are you their next hire?
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
If you are looking for a role with structure, systems and processes already in place and a manager that will hold your hand every step of the way, then this is certainly not a role for you. What this opportunity does represent is the chance to work for a dynamic and innovative business that want you to bring your ideas to the table, show initiative and run with the responsibility and autonomy you will been given and really thrive. You’ll have all the product training and development necessary to deliver to your potential as well as a window of opportunities to progress your career once you’ve proven your worth.
ABOUT THE JOB
You will develop and own the configuration management process-currently there is a skeleton outline. Your job will be to bring it to life, defining the asset tree, identifying the components, assemblies and sub-assemblies that need to be tracked to enable efficient and effective engineering support for total fleet traceability and history. Once that’s done, you’ll maintain it; recording and tracking all the documentation onto SAP for any modifications, overhauls, parts replacements in addition to any other information required to support reliability centred maintenance. Make no bones about it, it will be a demanding role so you’ll need a sense of humour to cope with the inevitable pressures this role will throw at you.
You’re the Configuration Management Engineer I am looking for if you can demonstrate a track record in engineering change control supported a solid background in maintenance (ideally rolling stock). You will also need an HNC minimum in an engineering discipline. This role will be based in Doncaster although for the right candidate you can be based in London.
