Construction Manager - Signalling

What is the purpose of this role?

The role provides direct support to the Signalling Manager/Construction CRE, by undertaking the Construction Management of the Signalling works on selected S&C Schemes.

What will this role involve?

These activities include, but are not limited to, attending IDC’s, reviewing OPS, FPS & SDS Documents, providing support to Signalling Supervisors where required, assist with programme development from GRIP4 to GRIP6, liaise with Project Engineers, production of Signalling specific WPP’s and authorising TBS’s.

Construction Manager is also required to attend Point Inspections on behalf of the North Alliance Signalling Team Points experience is essential, as this is the “Core Works” for the S&C North Alliance

What are we looking for?

• Ability to supervise and lead the site team in the successful delivery of the allocated contracts for specific discipline (Signalling)
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with site staff and project team
• Experience of railway Signalling projects
• Supervisory Management training / qualification with significant practical experience
• Computer literacy – Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Understanding of the Railway operating environment is desirable
