Contract Relationship Manager

An experienced Contract Relationship Manager is required to support our team in Berkshire. The role of Contract Relationship Manager will be to establish, maintain and manage contracts for the inventory

and logistical delivery for wholesale water and wastewater services. The successful Contract Relationship

Manager will be responsible for contract management of circa £60m per annum of logistics contracts.

You will ensure continuous improvement in how we manage both our supply chain and logistical movement to drive down radial distances and fuel costs. This is a key role which will be responsible for the delivery of circa

£40m of cost efficiency.

The Contract Relationship Manager will also provide contract support for the creation of a one stop shop logistics center that will ensure delivery of the equipment and resources our front line teams need to carry out their jobs.

What will this role involve?

The role of the Contract Relationship Manager will include:

• Negotiation of contracts for wholesale service logistics and management of processes to ensure contracts are appropriately executed.
• Managing a spend of up to 50m.
• Day-to-day management and change of contracts and management of contract governance.
• Monitoring contract performance with robust KPIs and performance management.
• Management of wholesale customer relationships and engagement.
• Management of contractual disputes and determinations.
• Implementing contractual strategies which meet the business needs, undertaking re-negotiations where appropriate.
• Developing contracts for new services in conjunction with the wholesale managers.
• Working hours will be Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 17:00 (36 hours per week).

What skills are we looking for?

We are seeking an individual with a strong technical understanding of commercial and contract management, a keen attention to detail, exceptional analytical / numerical skills and an ability to communicate information and influence key stakeholders to all levels.

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced logistics or contract manager, with a robust background in customer-facing engagement. Strong negotiation skills are essential, and experience in sell-side negotiations would be an advantage. A strong background in managing construction or logistics based contracts for large organizations is essential for this role.

Salary details

This role is based at our Head office in Berkshire. We are offering a salary of up to £46,000 per annum, plus car allowance.

Due to the nature of the role, you will require a valid UK Driving license.
