We are currently recruiting for a Signalling Design Manager who can manage the design throughout the life cycle of the relevant scheme to completion. You will drive the design resources ensuring they deliver against the programme and prioritise deliverables.

The requirement is for a candidate who has proven experience in the design of major railway signalling schemes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor progress on a daily basis and obtain status/late lists from the document control system.
• Develop relationships with designers, engineers and PM’s to enable collaboration and facilitate prompt decision making
• Ensure that the change control process for the assurance of technical change and cost and schedule is followed in real time
• Ensure the design development and assurance process is followed to maximise the quality of the end product, including designer risk assessment for CDM and constructability reviews
• Input to KPI’s and regularly review the design process and the organisation of resources and use the information to identify problem areas and adverse trends. Take the appropriate corrective action to maintain or beat the planned dates
