As we enter our 20th year and looking forward, we have taken a strategic decision to appoint a Divisional Director to help us implement our plans to deliver an exciting new concept to the market.
B1st-Support Services will operate as a division within One-On Limited, successfully placing labour, trades and professional staff in all types of construction, civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
The Opportunity:
This is a key role that will see the successful candidate assume responsibility for leading the operations of the resourcing and recruitment division, throughout the whole of the UK.
The Divisional Director will provide input into the strategic development of the division, adding value by penetrating new markets and opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and leading teams of talented individuals, commercial decision making and business direction. You will have a major influence over the success of the business and will be rewarded with an excellent salary package including the usual benefits, plus a strong profit related bonus potential. Role and Responsibilities:
• To operate a successful, well regarded and profitable resourcing and recruitment division, and to contribute to the overall success of the business as a whole.
• Strategic Direction: interpreting environment, market conditions, competitors, trends, and setting divisional targets and direction including managing risk / opportunity and the divisions overall performance.
• Business Development: Marketing and selling the companies services across multiple sectors, to achieve growth and profitability targets.
• Operational Team Development: Selecting, securing, mentoring, developing and reviewing the ongoing performance of multiple teams of capable site experienced account managers, dedicated to achieving all of the company’s / clients and divisions objectives.
• Setting a positive Health, Safety, Competency, Quality and Environmental behavioural ethos and culture throughout the business and ensuring that we can demonstrate that this is our benchmark, when introducing candidates to our clients.
• The development, implementation and ongoing refinement of company operational and financial management processes.
• Ensuring that a consistent professional approach is delivered across all activities undertaken, based on core principles and best practises.
• Interfacing with client Hiring Managers, HR and other key stakeholders
• Development of key strategies for sourcing ensuring competence and qualifying the industries best candidates, managing the submittal of candidates to the client, including client feedback, client and candidate negotiations.
• Ensuring compliance with all current legislation, client procedures and corporate policy.
• Networking in target business and industry organisations
Qualifications:
• A business or engineering degree would be advantageous, although not essential
• Member of a professional body would also be an advantage
• Particularly interested to hear from candidates holding either Dip RM or Dip RL
• A full valid UK driving licence is essential, as the role includes extensive travel throughout the UK
• An ability to demonstrate a proficient range of IT skills, at an intermediate to advanced level
Experience:
• You will be an experienced (numerous years) resource and recruitment specialist, able to demonstrate a successful sales track record throughout your career.
• Rail industry experience is essential, but extensive knowledge of construction, civil engineering, or other infrastructure type projects, including highways would be advantageous.
• Able to demonstrate an ability to effectively build and manage successful teams of account managers, resource and compliance personnel.
The Candidate:
• The successful candidate will be a motivated and articulate individual, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• An individual that appreciates and understands the need for straight talking, in all of their dealings, either internally, with clients or with candidates.
• Must also have the ability to listen, and take on board feedback and operate in an open and transparent manner. Professional integrity is a pre-requisite.
• The Candidate must be motivated by working for a smaller organisation, with the hunger and desire to see the business continue to grow and share in that success.
• Be well recognised, respected and advantageously connected throughout the industry. Having an excellent network of clients and contractors
• The successful candidate will be a natural leader, who is goal driven, and has a natural built-in desire to gain repeat business by delivering exemplary customer service.
