Our client, a multi-disciplinary rail business, now has an exciting opening for a Document Controller/Assistant Project Manager. The role will be based in Liverpool but there can be some flexibility offered in regards to remote working.
Our client has a preference to hire permanent staff but contractors will be considered.
Principal responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain document control processes and storage soft and hard copy media.
- Monitor so that the programme and project teams comply with document control processes and procedures.
- Control information flows with external suppliers in accordance with document control requirements.
- Ensure that accurate information is distributed throughout the organisation, on time, to the people who need it.
- Supporting the project management team with the implementation of project management systems to manage the scope, time and cost aspects of project.
Key skills/experience required:
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office.
- Relevant successful experience of document control processes and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills required – both written and verbal.
- Previous experience from the rail industry
- Familiarity with project management (desirable)
