Our transportation client are currently lookng for a. Economic and Analysis Officer to join their growing team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation that is going from strength to strength and is changing transportation across the North of the country.

Purpose:
Work with partners to specify and manage the delivery of an agreed programme of economic analysis to support the development of strategy, schemes and initiatives.

Roles:
1. Develop, maintain and apply a range of future economic scenarios and analysis tools to support strategy and scheme development, building on the Northern Powerhouse Independent Economic Review
2. Undertake research into the northern economy and with particular emphasis on how transport investment can skills, productivity, housing and investment.
Support the development of a coherent economic framework for TfN that will:
3. Generate evidence based strategic objectives for transport strategy and scheme development, linked to the independent economic review.
4. Specify and deliver the economic analysis that will support the development of the TfN capital programme
5. Support the development of efficient internal procedures for appraising the economic, social and environmental impacts of transport interventions
6. Undertake value for money assessments for policies, strategies and solutions through to outline business case standard.
7. Contribute to the wider strategy development work of TfN, ensuring that the emerging TfN transport plan and associated scheme development activity is supported and informed by a robust and coherent evidence base.
8. Develop a research required to support the on-going development of the Northern Transport Strategy and Strategic Transport Plan.
