Environmental Advisor

Location: Kent

My client is recruiting for an Environmental Advisor based in Kent with Network Rail experience.

Responsibilities for the role of Environmental Advisor include:

• Supporting the management of site environmental compliance
• Provide environmental guidance and support to both the Operations Teams and Senior Management
• Manage client environmental reporting schemes
• Monitoring of divisional social value responsibilities
• Assisting with the investigation of environmental incidents
• Ensuring Environmental Best Practice at all times
• You will assist with monitoring, the production of and implementation of permits and consents, you will implement environmental construction compliance policy procedures; assist with regular reporting and attend site to ensure that controls are being implemented.

Requirements for the role of Environmental Advisor include:

• Must have previous experience in a similar role at least 2 years as a minimum.
• Ideally coming from a Civil Engineering & Infrastructure background or have some knowledge within the industry, ideally within rail /Network rail
• The successful candidate will be required to have a relevant qualification such as BSc (or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Management or related subjects.
• IEMA Membership or other professional body membership with practical site experience is advantageous, but not essential to this role.
• You will have good written and presentation skills.
