Fleet Manager in Nottingham, United Kingdom
We have a new opportunity for a Fleet Manager to join Bridgeway Consulting at our head office in Nottingham.
Role Purpose
• To manage the fleet of vehicles for which Bridgeway are responsible.
• To ensure that the fleet is fit for purpose and that compliance is maintained with all related legislation.
• To provide timely and cost efficient solutions to challenges that arise.
• To maintain accreditation to the “Fleet Operations Recognition Scheme.”
Key Accountabilities
• Manage all fleet related duties as required. These duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
o Monitoring drivers and driver hours;
o Producing and co-ordinating vehicle maintenance schedules;
o Monitoring and reporting on fuel usage;
o Analysing and reporting on telematics information;
o Responsible for driver inductions;
o Undertake any reasonable duty requested by the Line Manager.
Required Skills
• Strong leadership.
• A good working understanding of Transport Legislation – Tacho Graph Regulation, Working Time Directive and driving hours.
• Good communicator.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Flexible approach in an ever changing environment.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Understanding how the various departments within the business operate.
• Proven track record of multi-tasking in a busy operational environment.
• Proven background of providing logistical solutions.
Expectations of a BCL Senior Manager / Manager
• Accountable to the Director / Associate Director / Senior Manager for the technical and financial performance and reporting of their team.
• Familiar with and supportive of company policies and procedures and supports their teams in doing the same.
• Promote the success of their business area both internally and externally.
• Responsible for a defined independent team within a function which may or may not be revenue earning.
• Develops and maintains their team’s delivery programme.
• Provides leadership and direction to their immediate reports.
• Provides tactical technical and business direction to their teams.
• Support other functions at a tactical level.
• Supports the personal development programmes for their team members.
• Considers the impact of their functional operations on the community and environment.
• Acts at all times in a way most likely to promote the success of the business, eg follows dress code, always prepared for meets etc.
