IT Technical Engineer in Rugby, United Kingdom
My client, a global engineering and technology solutions organization is looking to expand their team and welcome an IT Technical Engineer to their office based in Rugby.

Working with a team of support & technical engineers, you will be providing support to users of their Digital Enforcement Solutions - Building testing and configuring traffic enforcement technology throughout the UK, providing on-site and remote support techniques.
Your responsibilities:
• To plan, implement, build, test, install and commission of enforcement equipment, including PC and camera/CCTV based technology.
• Provide 1st and 2nd line support - fault finding and investigations.
• Ensure the Fault Management System is used to record support issues and that they are resolved or escalated accordingly.
• Out-of-hours working to support service and installation contract requirements.
• Successful completion of mandatory NHSS training, appropriate training for equipment and systems when required.
• Plan & coordinate efficient use of sub-contracting labour, estimate the timing of installation/maintenance works. Monitoring/Supervising sub-contractors to ensure company standards are met.
• Any other duties reasonably required within the skills required for the role.
The ideal candidate would have:
• Previous working experience with ANPR, CCTV or IT technology.
• HNC / ONC or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering / IT.
• Good, working knowledge of Microsoft OS and basic networking principles.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong level of working ethic: Co-operative, helpful, willing to use initiative and conscientious.
• Flexibility - willing to change, move from one activity or work area to another, learn new activities, pick up new jobs confidently and easily.
• Experience working within a team, communicate effectively between team members and to work well with other people.
• Ideally experience of working outside and working at heights.
• Must hold full UK Driving License.
This role would suit an experienced 1st and 2nd line support engineer looking to progress within a well-established organization. My client is very forthcoming with training and offer excellent progression opportunities.
