The Rail for London Crossrail Systems and Information Programme (RCSIP) is delivering a transformation and implementation of critical business systems, while enabling the business to build the required capability to use them. It is running a range of projects, delivered by our IM Partners, to build and make available all core business systems, such as the Asset Management System.
In parallel its own data migration capability is working with colleagues in Crossrail Ltd (CRL) to identify, assure and transition all key data from CRL to the new RfL Crossrail systems, optimised for the needs of operating the railway.
Finally, to make sure our people have the required capability to use the systems and we are clear on the processes that those systems support, a business change capability is embedded in the programme to support the business.
Reporting to the Information & Systems Manager this role will take overall responsibility for the successful coordination of the IT and systems landscape required to support and enable the effective management and operation of RfL Crossrail under the Rail for London Crossrail Information and Systems Programme (RCSIP).
The Implementation Manager will lead the successful implementation, meeting timelines and budget requirements.

Person Specification
Knowledge:
Strong and demonstrable experience of managing system implementation projects (ideally within the rail environment)
Strong and demonstrable experience of projects involving the migrating of data & information in an Asset Management environment preferably in the rail industry
Strong and demonstrable experience of project planning and project management procedures (including risk management techniques and other)
Knowledge of functionality of Asset Management IT systems e.g. Maximo, Ellipse, Infor or similar products.
Experience of managing the whole life cycle of a data & information migration, transition and implementation project
Skills:
Relevant experience as an Implementation Manager
Excellent communication and management skills in order to maintain positive client relations
Must be a self-starter, who is able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
Confident and professional in face to face, phone, email and web communications
Adapt quickly to complex culture and develop successful professional relations with key stakeholders
A can do attitude and a proactive approach with the flexibility to use experience and knowledge across the entire business to develop the department in line with achieving objectives in a changing environment
A demonstrable track record of showing the required self-motivation and tenacity to reach your short and long term goals
