- Our client is an Ofsted Grade 1 training provider based in West Cumbria. They provide a diverse range of employer-led training, including engineering apprenticeships, degree courses and postgraduate programmes. The company has established strong partnerships with academia including the Universities of Manchester, Central Lancashire and Cumbria.
- Due to expanding training business, our client is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Control Engineering. The position would suit a highly-motivated individual with a keen interest in the development and delivery of innovative and effective training programmes with a strong vocational element.
About the role:
- The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, project supervision, and curriculum development in the fields of control engineering.
- Teaching duties will extend from Level 3 (BTEC National) to Level 6 (BEng Hons).
What you will need:
- Essential: A minimum of BEng (Hons) in Control Engineering or a relevant engineering or science discipline.
- Desirable: A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline; PgCert Ed or equivalent.
- Desirable: Experience in the application of control engineering in an industrial, research or academic environment; knowledge of the civil nuclear industry. Particular interest will be for expertise in Modern Control Systems such as Digital & Discrete Control, Artificial Intelligence within Control Systems and Advanced Continuous Control Methods. Additional experience of programming Robotic Automation Systems & knowledge of the application of Forward and Inverse Kinematics.
