Level B Test and Commissioning Engineer in United Kingdom
Contract dates: ASAP to 31/05/2018
Location: Location Independent Worker
Full Level B Test and Commissioning Engineer to Network Rail Standards.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
• Experience with railway infrastructure equipment as well as knowledge of Network Rail standards with regards of equipment specs, testing and commissioning procedures
• Qualified to Network Rail Level B standard
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Delivery of installation, test and commissioning activities to the agreed time, cost, quality and performance requirements
• Responsible for all work undertaken, including delivering to agreed budget and timescales, and taking all reasonable care to ensure that the work is conducted professionally and safely and to the required standards
• Report all non-conformances and defects regarding the project to the Testing and Commissioning Manager or the responsible System Design Engineer
• Update and record modifications, provide Testing and Commissioning documentation and 'as-built' drawings per site to the Testing and Commissioning Manager or the responsible System Design Engineer
• Conduct sub-contractor Factory Acceptance Tests
• Supervise installation, test and commissioning activities (including that of contractors, where applicable)
• Write and/or check and review Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Method Statements
• Secure signed off test certification from the customer
• Produce reports as required by the Testing and Commissioning Manager, project team or project client
Specific Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities:
• Undertaking and recording risk assessments
• Undertaking work in accordance with the T&C Plans / Work Package Plans
• Ensuring contractors employed on test and commissioning and maintenance tasks comply with Siemens Rail Electrification H&S requirements and procedures
• Complying with all the Client safety related standards and procedures including during any test and commissioning phase
• Take reasonable care to avoid acts or omissions that could have an environmental impact
• Use all equipment provided safely and notifying local management of any observed deficiencies or defects as soon as they become apparent
• Inform management of any changes in materials, plant or processes and of any new materials, plant or processes which become apparent in the course of work that may impact on safety or the environment
• Inform management of any potential improvements that could improve Siemens environmental performance
• Immediately inform management of any observed hazards, injuries or dangerous occurrences, which become apparent during work
