As a critical member of the operational maintenance team you will help drive the maintenance and ongoing reliability of the fleet ensuring trains are available for passengers to go about their day to day lives.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Depot is massive, one of the largest in the UK packed full of state of the art equipment. Across the depot you will find over 100 engineers with diverse backgrounds ranging from ex-forces to food manufacturing maintenance engineers all delivering planned and reactive maintenance activities, fleet upgrades as well as modification and overhaul projects.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

This maintenance engineer role will suit you if you like working in a fast-paced environment, thrive under pressure and love to solve problems. You will be strong electrically, with solid mechanical capabilities and able to keep a cool head supporting apprentices and other engineers when required. What’s more, the company are committed to training, developing and progressing all of their maintenance engineers whatever route you choose to take. THE REQUIREMENTS

You’re the Maintenance Engineer I am looking for if you have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline working on high value capital equipment. You’ll need to be able to fault find on electrical systems, interpret electrical schematics and interrogate systems using PLC’s. In addition, you need to have strong problem solving capabilities and happy to work 4 on 4 off shift-if this is you, then I want to speak with you.

THE SALARY

• £45K + Overtime + Free Travel Final Salary Pension + Healthcare + 25 Days Holiday + BH
