This role is responsible for the maintenance of systems and equipment used to maintain rolling stock (CET, Train Wash, Boilers, Plant, PLC systems, Fuel and Adblue systems, Train braking sand systems, Depot Protection).
These are 6 month contract roles (OUTSIDE IR35)
The role requires a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician with time served electrical qualifications to NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, and preferably hold a JIB Gold Card to work in a rail environment. Ideally the candidates will also hold City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent, but this is not a requirement. The successful candidates will be expected to carry out Pre-planned maintenance works along with reactive works at rail maintenance depots on a day to day basis. Preferably the candidates will also have previous experience working in a rail environment and hold a PTS Sentinel card, although this can be provided.
The candidate will be expected to carry out Pre-planned maintenance on CET systems, Fuel and Adblue systems, Train braking sand systems, Carriage Wash plants, Depot protection as well as the general day to day running and reactive repairs needed within large train depot environment.
A good understanding of PLC operated systems is preferable, and the candidate will be expected to maintain and repair Local Exhaust Ventilation systems and Air Handing units.
