Critical Project Resourcing is looking for a Materials & Procurement Coordinator to join a leading railway contractor in their Rugby depot. You will be responsible for supervising operations within the depot, managing the coordination of deliveries and ensuring that movement of stock and materials is recorded appropriately. The role is available on a contract basis which could run for up to 6 months.
Reporting directly in to the Procurement Manager, the successful applicant will also manage the repair of stock through effective communication with suppliers and ensure that the required materials are readily available for depot workers and site teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a mechanical or electrical background or has worked in a similar environment with heavy machinery who is looking to get their foot in the door of the railway industry, therefore it is not essential that you have a rail background although it would be beneficial.

Further responsibilities:
- Raising of purchase orders and chasing up deliveries
- Sourcing specialist equipment
- Carrying out RFQs and engaging with suppliers to obtain best value for money
- Ensuring tight delivery deadlines are met
- Following procurement processes
- Maintenance of asset management systems
- Previous depot coordination experience
- Ability to manage stock records effectively
- Forklift license is preferential
- Acute awareness of health and safety obligations
- Knowledge of warehouse operations
- Mechanical or Electrical background/experience
- Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision
- Previous experience from working within rail plant depots would be a bonus
