Production Planner / Materials Controller - Doncaster

Job Purpose

Maintain the Oracle schedule for products in line with customer demand

Create & maintain task specific BOMs in accordance with customer specifications

Update averaging module using frequency of use data to ensure MRP data reports are accurate

Provide documentation to record work tasks in accordance with the customers specifications

Control customer & products specifications

Communicate effectively and demonstrate the company values

Safety

Proactively participate with the departmental safety process (R)

Ensure participation in enabling safety processes to reduce injuries i.e. SBOs, Near Misses (R)

Ensure compliance with company safety policies & procedures (R)

Quality

Participate in the PRIP process to ensure all specification are completed and that documentation reflects the actions identified (R)

Ensure quality documentation is verified by appropriate disciplines prior to issue (R)

Maintain the status of all documentation issued to operations (R)

Compliance with the companies quality assurance procedures (R)

Ensure self and all required personnel complete enabling quality improvement processes i.e. QBOs, QNMs/PQs (R)

Delivery

Develop the production plan to enable agreed customer schedules can be achieved (R)

Liaise with Operations & customer account management to develop a schedule to satisfy customer demand ( R)

Monitor operational capacity for planning purposes (R)

Constantly review compliance against schedules to provide KPIs to identify improvements & opportunities (Internal or external) ( R)

Cost

Seek cost improvements through operational planning efficiencies (R)

Contribute to the tendering process ( R)

Planning

Actively manage BOMs to provide planning and procurement data (R)

Creation of BOMs including part numbers as required to support new and existing orders (R)

Perform any other duties as appropriate within the individual's skills and competencies (R)

Control and issue of production documentation and specifications (R)

Actively participate in developing standard planning processes & routines (R)

Be an exemplar of continuous improvement processes and coordinate activities with central WPS ( R)

Generate data reports to customers both internally & externally as required (R)

Communicate effectively with all departmental staff ( R)

Be an exemplar of communication, particularly through change and daily briefing processes ( R)

Identify opportunities to improve oneself through training needs ( R)
