Critical Project Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Project Planner to work with a leading engineering consultancy in their Reading office. They require an experienced P6 Planner who has previously worked within the civil engineering industry, ideally on major rail, highways or airport projects.
The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for multi-disciplinary railway design programmes in the region of £1-10million, including power upgrades, station civils and signalling renewals. Therefore, prior knowledge of these disciplines would be highly desirable, although not essential.
You will be responsible for developing project schedules in conjunction with engineers and project managers, providing weekly and monthly progress reports, reporting on Earned Value and SPI and CPI. You will also be regularly liaising with key stakeholders in relation to project performance, relaying information on delays and project risk.

Further requirements:
- Minimum of HNC / OND in a relevant engineering field
- 3+ years of post-qualification working experience
- Expert user of Primavera P6 / P3 / P3e
- Excellent knowledge of project controls techniques including Earned Value Management
- Appreciation of design concepts, drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of GRIP stages
- Proven ability to meet targets and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Railway industry experience is preferable
