We are currently dealing with a major engineering company who are looking for a Senior or Principal Bridge on a contract basis with the role being based in York. The main function of the role is to take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of Network Rail bridge assessments, from the initial remit creation and pricing through to delivery of the final report. You will be responsible for planning and delivery of site inspections, preparation of interim, draft, and final assessment reports and liaison with the Network Rail Assessment Engineers to ensure their requirements are met to ensure right first-time delivery. Other typical job duties can include, but not limited to:

• Take responsibility for the Preparation of bridge inspection and assessment.
• Prepare reports and calculations in line with Network Rail standards.
• Plan and deliver bridge surveys and inspections including recording of all relevant information
• Complete bridge assessment calculation and reporting.
• Where required prepare estimates for work items.
• Identify scope change items.

 
Job Requirements

• Experience of planning and undertaking structure survey and inspection within a rail environment, with STE4 competence
• Experience of Network Rail bridge assessment and reporting practice
• Ability to work in a collaborative multi-discipline design team
• Chartered/Incorporation or working towards
