An opportunity has risen in the Manchester area for a chartered Principal Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer with at least 5 years' post chartership experience. This is an excellent chance to lead projects across the world within several sectors along with expert witness and bespoke commissions where you may start from first principles.

Project surround major rail, civil / structures, deforestation, landslides, utilities and mining.

As a Principal Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer, your role will consist of not only leading projects on a technical and commercial basis but will also get involved in the client facing and business development tasks along with managing the Engineering geologist / Geotechnical team within Manchester, sat directly under/next to the Technical Director.

I am looking to speak with a Principal Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer with an overall well-rounded knowledge along with a well-developed design capabilities and broad ground engineering experience. The technical work you will be tasking a lead on include; slope stability and landslide assessment and remediation, rock slope inspections and remedial design, rail related remedial designs of embankments and cuttings, ground improvement design for soft/marginal materials.

Principal Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer Specification:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology with a relative MSc;
• Chartered engineer or geologist;
• 5 years post chartership experience within a Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical design consultancy;
• Overseas experience advantageous
• Extensive client facing interactions with some business development
