Our client is currently sourcing an Principal Engineering Manager (Track & Civils) on an initial 12 month contract basis from their Manchester Office.

The main purpose of the position is to provide subject matter maintenance expertise and develop procedures for the Track and Civil asset discipline for the project.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the review of Track and Civil documentation, strategies, standards and operating procedures and recommend improvements.
• Develop Draft Annual Maintenance Plan for the Track and Civil asset disciplines.
• Review and update maintenance processes, workflow and Task Instructions
• Set standards for engineering competence
• Ensure all subcontractors have been selected and contracts in place and signed before contract Commencement Date
• Provide advice to Engineering Mobilisation Workstream leader (WSL)/Director of Engineering on the implementation of an ISO5000 compliant asset maintenance regime for Track and Civil assets.
• Develop asset hierarchies, attributes, data mapping and workflow for incorporation into the Enhanced Agility CMM system.

Experience/Skills required

• IOSH working safely
• Previous experience of Track Maintenance
• Ability to undertake Civil Inspections and assessments
• Ideally Civil Engineering Qualification, CEng
• Demonstrable experience of client Interface.
• Environmental Awareness and Tool box talks
