Programme Office Analyst
£300 - £350/day – 6 month initial contract
Based in Milton Keynes

You will need:
Essential:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills at the senior management level
- Strong English business writing skills
- Competent user of Oracle Projects and/or Business Intelligence
- Competent user of Microsoft Office Excel, Powerpoint and Project.
Experience:
- Demonstrate experience in delivering quality work in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Expertise in project controls, including Earned Value Reporting.
- Experienced in Qualitative Schedule Risk Assessments.
- Demonstrate expertise in the creation and validation of IT work and cost estimates and plans.
- Experienced in IT delivery and assurance for programmes and projects.
- Managed and/or support IT enabled business change programmes.
- Experienced working within a Programme Office function.
- Manage suppliers in an outsourced environment and understand contracts.
Qualifications:
- Formal programme/project/project office qualification (e.g. MSP, Prince 2)
The Role:
The successful candidate will need to have proven experience working within an IT delivery environment with Portfolio, Programme or Project Management Office experience. A qualification in Prince 2, MSP and/or P3O would be an asset. A working knowledge of project or programme governance frameworks, risks, issues, dependencies, finances and planning plus an ability to engage with different stakeholders is a must.

Key Accountabilities:
- To run and enforce strong project controls for projects within several Portfolios.
- Manage and deliver objective, robust and analytical reviews of programme and project finances, forecasts, plans, scope and call off contracts.
- Working alongside Programme Office Managers providing detailed endorsement recommendations and follow up actions.
- Manage and deliver objective, robust reviews of change requests for changes to programme and project estimates, plans, scope, contract against original scope, cost and schedule.
- Follow up with Programme and Project Managers where queries, adjustments or improvements are required.
- Run reviews of periodic Programme and Project Delivery Lifecycle documentation, aiding facilitation of those reviews and reviewing compliance/submission reports and feeding back the findings.
- To run and enforce strong operational assurance reviews for projects within different Portfolios.
- Run regular project Issue and Risk Reviews and Qualitative Schedule Risk Assessments.
- Analyse data and run periodic reviews of programme and project performance data and key deliverables.
- Identify trends; identifying and escalating issues to the Programme Office Manager.
- To set up and maintain projects in Oracle Projects – creating project estimates and liaising with the finance team.
- Provide subject matter expertise in the Programme Office processes and procedures.
- To provide objective management information, including periodic Executive Review Pack, Delivery Portfolio Reports, and supplier performance Reports.
- Play an active role in delivering a continuous improvement programme.
