A major contactor are currently recruiting for a qualified Project Accountant to work with them on a Highways project in Tunbridge.
Accountabilities;
* Oversee the timely preparing of accurate monthly CVR and other financial reports, complying with all relevant accounting policies and requirements
* Act as a financial partner to the relevant leadership teams to ensure all financial issues are robustly and effectively managed and reported
* Manage the balance sheet, cash flow and credit control routines
* Work closely with the Commercial teams to understand and influence business performance and manage risks
* Accountable for accurate cash flow forecasting and credit checks on clients, JV partners and key supply chain partner
* Ensure risk is effectively managed and reported
* Prepare budgets, Strategic Road Map and forecasts.
* Analyse and report on key business financial information
* Provide constructive challenge and input into project/contract review meetings to ensure that issues and risks are identified, reported and addressed
* Support tender review and/or tender adjudication meetings, as required
* Be proactive in identifying "weak signals" and leading indicators that may result in budget variances and liaise with line and commercial managers as appropriate
* Lead, develop and coach individuals to build high performing teams and create a pipeline of talent
Experience within contracting / projects is preferable and an advanced level on Microsoft Excel is essential.
